Before you start

  • Data use: Planned completed test payload is up to about 176 MB (slow connections use much less). A safeguard stops the test based on completed measurements. Actual data billed can be higher because of protocol overhead, retried or incomplete transfers. Takes up to 2.5 minutes.
  • Method limits: This is a capped beta measurement. It can credibly measure up to about 200 Mbps download and 80 Mbps upload; faster connections may show "insufficient" instead of a speed. It does not fully validate gigabit plans. The same method is used for every carrier; your actual plan is entered separately.
  • The test downloads and uploads data with Cloudflare's public speed test servers. Cloudflare receives your IP address and network measurement information. Cloudflare's own result logging is turned off in this app. Cloudflare privacy policy ยท speed.cloudflare.com
  • Saved on this device only. Not uploaded. Print, share or download it to send to Steven Haylestrom for manual compiling.
  • Stay parked or stationary and keep this screen open; leaving the app stops the test.
  • This measures data speed only - not calls, 911, or radio signal.
