Get ready

Off - this trip records your real route and real connection quality as you travel.

Real trip - live location and connection

Uses your phone's location and makes small connection checks about every 2 seconds.

We can't check this from inside the browser, so please confirm it yourself. Do it now, before you start moving.

User-reported. This browser cannot read your SIM or network operator, so nothing is preselected and nothing is detected - please pick the carrier you are testing.

Keep this screen open. Start while parked, secure the phone, then leave it alone. iPhone and Android pause this page when the screen locks or you switch apps, so turn off auto-lock and stay on this screen. Your results are saved on the phone as they come in, so nothing is lost if the signal disappears.

For the cleanest test, reduce interruptions before you start

  • An incoming call or switching apps can temporarily pause recording in a phone browser. We'll tell you afterwards if that happened, and leave those moments out of your coverage rating.
  • Optional: turning on Do Not Disturb or a Focus mode before you set off keeps the trip uninterrupted. Your phone settings may still let emergency or priority contacts through - worth checking if that matters to you.
  • Set all of this up before you start moving. Never adjust settings or touch the app while driving. We can't change these settings for you.

Before you start

  • 1. Start while you're parked - never while moving.
  • 2. Secure or mount the phone before you set off.
  • 3. Don't touch, read or hold the phone while you're driving.
  • 4. Leave this screen on and open for the whole trip.
  • 5. Finish the trip only once you've parked again.

There is nothing to tap while you travel - the app records everything by itself. Only your own location and the app's own connection checks are used. Your contacts, messages, camera and microphone are never touched.

Test details

While a test is running the app sends a tiny request to its own server about every 2 seconds and records how long the reply takes, or whether it fails. Timing depends on your phone and browser, so the app stores the real timestamp of every check instead of assuming a perfect 2-second rhythm.

A slightly larger download runs roughly every 30 seconds to estimate speed. Keeping it rare protects your data plan and battery.

Your location is recorded whenever your phone reports a new position - not on the check rhythm - so the route stays smooth.

Each check becomes a 0–100 usability score from reachability, response time and measured speed. That is turned into the plain rating you see: Great, Good, Fair, Weak, Very Weak or No Connection.

What the app cannot see: signal bars, dBm, RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, band or cell tower details. Browsers don't expose them, and nothing here estimates or claims them. It also never touches contacts, messages, camera or microphone, and it cannot tell whether you are on a phone call - pauses are simply recorded as app interruptions.
